The Burning Hell Loves Kittens and Charity

Image:

OK, so we just played a fundraiser for the Rick Hansen Foundation, an organization that works to raise awareness about and promote research into Spinal Cord Injury (SCI). Despite lots of local press, the people of Peterborough didn't turn out in the charity-minded hordes we expected.

But I'm not writing this blog entry to complain.

Wait, yes I am.

What Do We Do With All Of Our Money?

Image:

Here is the problem: like most Canadian indie bands, The Burning Hell is rolling in dough. Some independent musicians are content to spend their acres of cash on exotic pets and jet planes made of emeralds and rubies (yes, we mean you, BA Johnston), while others become embroiled in the high-paced world of the Toronto Stock Exchange (ahem, Arts and Crafts, anyone?).

The Burning Hell is the enemy of feet!

Image:

Mere days after Steve's foot was maimed by rock and roll & frostbite, The Burning Hell's newest member Jenny M (aka "Sparkle") dropped a log on her foot in Cole Harbour, Nova Scotia. We decided it was probably best just to ignore it and drink beer instead. This was not smart. The above photo was taken two days later in Charlottetown.

If there are any podiatrist fans out there, can you give us some advice? How can we use our feet properly and treat them well, without sacrificing our notorious folk-rock lifestyle?
