So we did it - the stupidest thing any human can do...but remember we're not really humans, we're musicians - we crossed Canada...almost all of it...in the winter and the spring!
From Peterborough, ON to Victoria, BC and all the way up to Dawson, YT....and then, as if that wasn't enough already...we made tracks to North Sydney in Nova Scotia to jump on the ferry to Port-Aux-Basque in Newfoundland so we could drive all the way to St. John's and then home again.
It was an amazing two months consisting of light up dance floors, bison, hot springs, bar fights, jerky, harmoniums, summersaults, moose (both live and tasty...in separate instances), masonic halls, a free mason Party Bus, tea parties, coffee grinders, crappy high-beams, taxidermy, new red shoes, discount bathing suits, poutine, hair cuts, more poutine, more hair cuts, rising gas prices, more jerky, yoghurt that has it's own seat in the van, a casino, absolutely amazing people across the entire country, more poutine and of course more haircuts and one really long frickin bridge....just to name a few of the highlights.
Thanks to everyone who took us in, fed us, let us wash our clothes and our bodies with their soap and water supplies...and especially to those who danced and romanced - and to Darcy for taking off his pants!
It was a blast, and I'd do it again in a heart beat....xoxoxo
